Air India operate Haj Flights from October 13, 2011 from Aurangabad
Air India's direct Haj Flight schedule for this year is likely to be conducted in between October 13, 2011 to October 24, 2011.
In may be recalled that the direct flight service from Aurangabad to Jeddah was started in November 2008, thanks to Rejendra Darda who is school education minister. Haj pilgrims from the region had to go to Mumbai, stay at Haj House, before finally boarding their flights to Jeddah.
The direct flight service to Jeddah has not only benefitted Haj pilgrims from Maradhwada region, but also from neighbouring districts likely Buldhana, Ahmeadnagar and other.

First flight to Air India will depart on October 13, 2011 from Chikalthana airport. An A-310 type air-craft with a capacity 245 passengers will be operated during the entire schedule lasting until October 24, 2011. In all 2940 people are likely to undertake the pilgrimage to the holy cities of Mecca and Madina from Chikalthana airport.
Final timetable from Air India is not displayed on local Air India office; flights are likely to increase this time around. The return journey of Haj pilgrims will begin on November 25, 2011
