Nileema Mishra from Jalgaon got Magsaysay Award
The founder of Bhagini Nivedita Gramin Vigyan Niketan(BNGVN) ,Nileema Mishra got Magsaysay award for the year 2011. She completed her Master's in clinical psychology from Pune. Her organization is working for the women and farmers across 200 villages in Maharashtra. Prakash Amte suggests a name of Nileema for Magsaysay award. She got the inspiration from her professor to work in social sector. Nileema mainly belong to the Uttar Pradesh but her father comes to Jalgaon for job. Then she belongs to Jalgaon territory. After forming a group BNGVN many women approach to her with their many problems like illness, education. She observed the common problem suffering all people were poverty. Then she decided that his organization will help to poor people and generate the employment to all people. She also works in social activities which help in farmer suicides. Her organization also helps farmers to get land from landlords. Her organization contribution helps many people. The Magsaysay award carries money of $50,000(Indian Rs.22 lakh). But she decided to donate this huge money to needy people. Wish her best of luck and we need more Nileema's in India to get India a developed country.
