Ayurvedic and home remedies for Toothache

The most essential and effective home remedy is to take proper care of teeth. Brushing teeth in the morning and at the time of sleep, rinsing mouth after every meal, after eating chocolates or any sweets. This removes the morsels in between teeth. Consult the dentist twice in a year.

Following are some remedies which are effective in toothache.

1. Garlic-

Clove of garlic with little rock salt must be placed on the affected teeth. This gives relief from pains in toothaches.

2. Guava leaves-

Since many years, leaves of guava are boiled by adding some salt in water. This solution is used to gargle. This give relief in toothache.

3. Clove-

Clove and clove oil is one of the most effective remedy in toothache. Put some clove oil on cotton ball and place it on affected tooth this lessen the pain and cures toothache. Also clove and salt is placed in the affected tooth to get relief from the pains.

4. Onion-

Anti-bacterial properties of onion serves it as remedy in toothache. Slice of onion is placed on the tooth or gum which is paining relieves the paining.

5. Mouthwash with salt water-

Thorough rinsing of mouth with salt water gives relief in toothache.

6. Pepper-

Pinch of pepper powder with common salt is also the good remedy for toothache.

7. Almond-

Almond also serves as medicine in toothache. Few drops of almond oil on cotton ball placed on affected tooth, reliefs the toothache.

8. Asafoetida-

Heat asafoetida grounded in lemon juice. Soak a cotton ball in this solution and put it on the affected tooth. This cures the paining tooth.

9. Bay berry-

Make a paste of bark of bayberry with vinegar. Apply this paste on affected area. This strengthens the gums as well as cures toothache.

10. Pressure point remedy-

V- shaped area in between forefinger and thumb is rubbed by using ice cubes for 8 to 10 minutes, relieves pain in tooth.
