New AICTE eligibility criteria for admissions to technical courses
What are the new admission eligibility criteria for engineering admissions in Maharashtra? What are the new admission eligibility criteria for pharmacy admissions in Maharashtra? What are the new admission eligibility criteria for hotel management admissions in Maharashtra? This article answers these queries by giving complete information on the new minimum Class XII scores required for admissions to technical courses in Maharashtra.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has reduced the Class XII eligibility criteria from 50% to 45% in the open category and from 45% to 40% in the reserved category. This criteria will come into effect for all graduate technical courses.
Numerous students applying for engineering, pharmacy and hotel management courses will stand to benefit. This is because those who got good scores for the MH-CET entrance test were finding it difficult to get admission to technical courses due to low marks for the XIIth Board exams. Students who are eligible as per this new rule will thus be accommodated in the final merit list.2011 Engineering Admissions Schedule Maharashtra
