MAH-HM-CET Eligibility For Registration Process And Application Process

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has announced the timetable and schedule of the 2011 MAH-HM-CET common entrance test for admission to the first year of the four year degree course in Hotel Management and Catering Technology.

2011 MAH-HM-CET common entrance test eligibility, scheme of exam & dates


1. Eligibility criteria:
* You must have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in Science/Home Science/MCVC/Commerce/ Arts with English as one of the subjects.
* You should have got a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for backward class candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above-mentioned exam.
2. Exam paper format of MAH-HM-CET-2011 test: There will be only 1 exam to test your aptitude for Hotel Management and Catering Technology degree course. Marks: 100.
3. Date and Time of MAH-HM-CET-2011 test: Sunday, June 26,2011. Time: 12noon. Duration of the test: 2 hours. You must report to the examination centre half an hour before the examination.

How to apply for 2011 MAH-HM-CET-2011 common entrance test


1. Application form & brochure will be available at Application Form Receipt Centres (ARCs). For list of ARCs please refer official website (see link given at the end of this article).
2. The application form fee is Rs. 700/- for all candidates and Rs. 500/- for reserved category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only (Candidates having relevant backward class Caste Certificate issued by Maharashtra State authorities)
3. The fee is to be given in the form of D.D.(Demand Draft)/Pay Order only of any Nationalized/Scheduled/ Private sector commercial bank drawn in favour of "Director of Technical Education, Mumbai" payable at Mumbai.
4. You must submit your application form online at the official website (see link at the end of this article)

Important Notes:
1. Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected.
2. You do not have to submit any documents at this stage, but you must keep the necessary documents ready at the time of Document verification stage as per schedule.
3. The Centralized Admission Process will consist of first 2 rounds of allotment and the third (last)round of counseling. You must carefully read the Annexure-I of the Information Brochure to understand the eligibility criteria for participating in each round.
4. You may visit the designated ARCs to scan & upload photo, submit & confirm the Online Application Form. For this, you will be required to pay facilitation/support charges of Rs. 50/- in cash towards scanning, printing etc. at these centers.
5. In case you are unable to submit the application form on time, you can submit & confirm the Online Application form at following office by paying Additional Late Fees of Rs. 500/- in cash on 16th June, 2011 (between 11AM-5PM), at the following address:

1. Sale of Information Brochure along with Application form & and Confirmation of Online Application Form for MAH-HM-CET 2011: 06/06/2011 to 15/06/2011 (up to 5p.m.)

2. Date & Timing of 2011 MAH-HM-CET: Sunday June 26th , 2011 at 12noon.

3. 2011 MAH-HM-CET results date: 11/07/2011 at 5p.m.
