Stuffed Chapati Roll

For many youngsters of our generation who are used to pizzas and hamburgers, Indian recipes suddenly sound not so cool. Can we add some masala to our existing Indian dishes and serve it so that it sounds appetizing to youngsters. The stuffed chapati roll is an innovation that uses the ordinary chapatti, and makes it nutritious

For our dish, we will need Chapattis, carrots, beans, spring onions, green chillies, cumin seeds (Jeera,) methi leaves and any other vegetable as per your liking.

First, cut carrots, beans, spring onions and methi leaves. Place this in a cooker. After three whistles, remove the vegetable pieces. Now, take a kadhai and heat oil in it. After the oil heats up, add cumin seeds. Wait till the cumin seeds crackle. Add the boiled , beans, methi leaves, chopped green chillies and salt. Mix well -- add relevant spices. Cover this and cook for 5 minutes.

Take the chapati and spread the vegetable stuffing in the chapati. Roll the chapati like a small roll. Seal the edges using ghee. Place the stuffed chapati on a tava and cook it on both sides.

This is a great nutritional recipe and can be used for providing nutrition in a simple but effective way. This is especially important for children who fuss over eating normal dishes. However, if you offer this dish in this style, the humble chapati or poli takes a different avatar.

This is very nutritive Chapati Roll.Carrots give Beta carotene which source of Vitamin A. Fenugreek seeds(methi) when swallowed early in morning with water relives Joint pain.
