This is caused by our current lifestyle where work hours have no defined boundaries, and food is available instantly from a top restaurant by paying money. The condition of acidity is caused by abnormal and irregular eating habits, high intake of spicy or oily food. I heard this from my grandmother. First take about 10 grains of raw grains of rice – remember these are raw uncooked grains.

Ok, so take about 10 grains of rice and gulp it down with water every morning as soon as you wake up. This should be done before you consumer anything – liquid or solid.

Do this for a month, and you will see the effects of this wonderful and simple solution.

Other home remedies for reducing acidity include:

• Drinking cold milk
• Drinking water early in the morning
• Eating curd
• Lemon juice taken 3 -4 times a day
• Take a small piece of jaggery and suck the juice daily after breakfast, lunch and dinner
• A glass of cabbage juice is also considered to be highly effective in curing acidity
• Suck on a piece of laung or clove
• Eat fruits such as banana or watermelon after meals


These are not permanent solutions. For good health and for preventing acidity from coming again, sleep well, eat in time, exercise regularly and try to be always positive.
