German Academic Exchange Service or Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst(DAAD) is offering scholarship for pursuing Master's in Public Policy and Good Governance (PPGG) in selected German Universities. This article gives you a brief details and related important informations.

What covers DAAD Scaholarship: DAAD Scholarship offers many benefits to bright Indian students which covers the following:

- Air fare between India and Germany.

- Applicants are entitled to a monthly stipend of 750 Euros.

- Exemption from tution fees.

- Free health insurance.

- Before studies students undergo a six months free German Language Course with free lodging and pocket allowance.

Requirements:

- 1st class Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university in India. No professional experience is required.

Conditions to be fulfilled by the applicant: DAAD has stipulated many conditions to be fulfilled by the applicant in order to get scholarship:

- The qualified candidate wants to actively contribute to the
social and economic development of his/her home country.

- Applicant should be residing in India at the time
of application.

- Applicant who is in Germany for more than one year at the time of application is not eligible.

- The gap between the date of getting degree and application deadline should not be more than six years.

Documents to be submitted alongwith the application form: Applicant has to submit two application forms with the following documents attached:

- Passport-size photograph to each form.

- Two copies of full curriculum-vitae.

- Two copies of motivation letter.

- Two references from senior academics from the applicant's
field of study/research. Proforma is also available on DAAD's website. Applicant has to ensure that referee's title and academic status should be
clearly indicated, in sealed envelope and recent dated.

- Two copies of TOEFL or IELTS scores and German Language skills at A2 level, if any.

- Two copies of attested academic certificates and mark-sheets. If the certificates are in Hindi then attested Enlish traslated copies are required to be submitted.

- Applicant has to be ensure that the application form must be in standard A4 size.

- The first and last name of the applicant should be identical with the applicant's personal details in the passport.

Important date: The last date for submitting application form is July 31, 2011..
