AFL Match Analysis: Ansari's hat-trick in Kohinoor Kickers easy win
Group 'A' table topper Nitin Gupta's Kohinnor Kikers raised goals on Sameer Mulay's Mulay Brothers in the match of AMP Infra Pvt. Ltd Presents Lokmat Samachars's AFL at Divisional Sports Complex on the 10 April 2011.
In the one-sided match, Kohinoor Kickers rode on Nagpur player Zahed Ansari's hat-trick to pulverize struggling Mulay Brother 6-1 after leading 4-1 at the breather.
Kohinoor Kickers forward line showed an excellent ball possession and there was an obvious gulf in the class on April 10, 2011. The kickers were always on top as mulay Brothers huffed and puffed.
The men in Yellow struck in a very fourth minute when syed Aquib headed home a lovely cross from the experienced player Rauf Khan(1-0). In the 15th minute, Kohinoor Kickers could have increased the margin but talented Mohd. Nabeel missed a very easy chance when he had only a charging goalie to beat.
In the 23rd minute, Kohinnor Kickers were awarded a penalty kick after Rauf Khan was tackled in the penalty area. The local footballer, who plays for Churchill Brother in Goa, mode no mistake in converting the spot kick(2-0).
Kohinoor Kickers kept up the pressure and in the 29th minute, striker Zahed Ansari gave a superb cross to Syed Abu Naser, who completed the formality (3-0).
Four minutes later, Zahed Ansari'd superb sob effort helped Kohinoor Kickers score their fourth goal(4-0). Mulay Brother only moment of success came in the 35th minute of the first match when Arif Khan scored fine goal (4-1)
It was the same old story in the second half with Kohinoor Kickers calling the shots. It was Zahed Ansari who grabbed the sportlight scoring two more goals in the 40th minute and 48 minute to score a terrific hat-trick.
Nagpur Player, who has the experience of playing in the Santosh Trophy twice, was at his very best as he not only made several inroads but also showed his dribbling dexterity to walk away with the man of the match award.
With this easy victory, Kohinoor Kickers retained their top position with 10 points , while Mulay Bothers finished with just a solitary point in their combination going.
For Kohinoor Kickers, however 10 April 2011's impressive victory will do their confidence a world of good. All their players in particular Zahed, Rauf, Aquib abd Nabeel were playing outstanding.
