Nothing gets over for students who finish their HSC board exams. Once students finish their HSC board exams, more and more exams keep coming their way. Since nowadays one opts for multiple career options all that these students do is start preparing for various entrance exams that brighten their chances for admissions in various universities. These entrance exams can be broadly categorized into four main groups,

- Engineering entrance exams

- Management Entrance exams

- Architectural entrance exams

- Medical entrance exams
These entrance exams are conducted at state levels as well as national level.

Engineering entrance exam


If students opt for engineering entrance exam, then there are various entrance exams in this category, which include the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE / national level), the Associate Member of Institution of Engineer Examination (AMIE) and then there is the CET (Common Entrance Test for engineering). These are held in various centers all over Maharashtra.

- All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) – 24th April 2011

- Associate Member of Institution of Engineer Examination (AMIE) – 15th June 2011

- Common Entrance Test (CET Engineering) – March 2011 (somewhere around last week)

- MH – CET for engineering – 12th May 2011

Medical Entrance Exam


If students opt for Medical Entrance exam, then the various preferred entrance exam in this category are Pre-Medical Test (PMT), Armed Forces Medical College Test (AFMC) and MH – CET for Health Science. Then there is the CBSE Entrance Exam that is conducted for CBSE Students. But the most preferred medical entrance exam is the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Entrance Exam (AIIMSEE).

- MH – CET for health sciences – 12th May 2011

- Armed Forces Medical College Test – is scheduled to be conducted in May 2011
CBSE Entrance Exam is yet to be scheduled

- Pre-Medical test (PMT) is yet to be scheduled and will be conducted in various centers all around Maharashtra.

2011 entrance exam schedule for Architecture


The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is the most preferred Architecture entrance exam and is conducted online. This entrance test is scheduled to be conducted somewhere in the end of February 2011 or March 2011.

2011 Entrance exams for HSC Students opting for Commerce Field and Management Field


For students from Commerce field, who opt for management there are ample options coming their way. They get to opt for various fields and accordingly various entrance exams. These entrance exams are conducted for higher courses like Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) and Bachelor of Management (BMS). The Common Proficiency Test(CA CPT) is an entrance exam introduced recently for Chartered Accountancy Course. This includes subjects like Accounting, Mercantile Law, Quantitative Aptitude and General Economics.

The 2011 Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is scheduled for May 2011 (around 1st week)
