Halley's Comet

This resource gives information about the Halley’s Comet which was passed from above the earth in the past era.

Halley's Comet

The hairy star is a reference to the Halley's Comet. The periodicity of the comet had not yet been worked out. It was much later, sometime in the 19th century that the entire gamut of appearance of the comet was analyzed and its periodicity fixed at around 75 years. The last appearance of the comet was in 1986.

The appearance of the comet is linked with disasters on the earth. Every time the comet had come close to earth, during its ceaseless travels through space, in a rather long parabolic arc, there had been fears of war and pestilence.

The year 1986 saw the steady increase in the Arab conflicts. The Iranian monk Khomeini was very, much dictating the events in the Middle East. The Palestinians were restless, eager to fling at Israel. The whole of Europe was in turmoil, with the new ideas of perestroika and glasnost very much in the air. The events which followed the appearance of comet in 1986 are historic. Today, we find that the Soviet Union has broken its bits. The war in the Middle East has failed to achieve what the U.S wanted, the displacement of Saddam. This was all the happening when the comet had been close to earth.
It had been always assumed that whenever the comet had been close to earth some bad has to happen on the earth.
