Laxmi Narayan Temple
The Laxmi Narayan Temple known as Jamdar Temple is listed as Grade One Heritage Structureby the State Government of Maharashtra in the list of building and conservation areas.The "Holi Utsav" is celebrated every year in this temple. This festival is celebrated around eight days.On this occasion bhajans, kirtans and mahaprasad program were organized every year.In the Karitik ,a Marathi month, celebration is also organized every year. The Parimal Jamdar is taking care of this Temple. There were wooden pillars inside the Temple. Every year polishing to the pillars is very essential to maintain the good quality architecture on pillars. .
History Of Laxmi Narayan Temple
The Jamdar Temple is 200 year old structure located in the Mahal area of Nagpur. The Jamdar people were followers of Bhonsala Kings and the keepers of Structures .Temple is built around 1780-1800 in the era of Raghuji Bhonsala King. He gifted the Laxmi narayan Temple to the Balwant Narayan Jamdar for the maintenance.
Structure Inside Laxmi Narayan Temple
There are wooden pillars inside the temple. Very ancient architecture is drawn on this Pillars. There were black color slabs and pillars sparkling in the temple. The hall of temple is made of carved stones. There were tilted roofs in the mandap. The pujari take the aarti in the morning and evening.
