This is story of a young girl Anandi .She is passionate about dancing and belong to the Tamasha Group. In the city most people do not know about the tradition and the culture of India. The roots of the culture is seen in the village and the various artist and art are belong to the villages of India.This cultures and tradition of village is showcase in the Pinjara.The show name is "Pinjara" means the cage. Anandi is belong to the tamasha group and she dance on the traditional Maharashtra dance form called Lavani in the live show .People admire her dance . This story is also based on the two families, Shelar and Waghmare family. Akka is the head of the Shelar family and people of the manikpur have very respect about the Akka. But the Tatyarao Waghmare is jealous on the Akka. One day Waghmare organized the Tamasha in his village to gain the respect among the Villagers. Akka do not like the concept of the Waghmare family. The Tamasha group is coming to the Manikpur village. Then during the event Of Lavani the entire world of Anandi and the two family is changed.Anandi have the very dark past and no one of the tamasha group member have know it. Sankruti Balgude will play the character of Anandi in Pinjara. Girish Oak, Sumukhi Pendse, Purnima Manohar, Supriya Pathare also have the main role in the pinjara. Pinjara is the first show in Marathi which belong to the artist of Lavani and portraits the reality of life Tamasha Group members. The "Natrang" Marathi movie has taken the huge success on the Big screen. Peoples are praising the character of 'Nachay' in Tamasha in the movie. Can Anandi break the cage of Tamasha life and live the happy life ? .So watch the Pinjara from 17 January 2011,every Monday to Saturday at 9.00 pm on the Zee Marathi channel.
