Chief minister of the Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan said that the state will give attention to on decentralisation of industries so that additional units come up in rural areas that would facilitate growth and generate job opportunities. On Friday in Satara district near Phaltan he was speaking at the inauguration of a jumbo project by Cummins, the leading manufacturer of engines, generators and related technologies. He also said that the this is lead to development of Phaltan taluka and Satara district.
He said "Phaltan, which is a dry land area hard to cultivate, will advantage from the project. The state has all the services for high investments. Now, we have seven ports in the offing which will further cater to the require of industries."
