The youngest CEO in the world Suhas Gopinath started Global Inc ten years ago from a cyber cafe in Bengaluru at the age of 14-years. Global is a multi-million dollar company with offices in the United States, India, Canada, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Singapore. There are 100 employees in India. He is the member of the Board of the ICT Advisory Council of the World Bank. European Parliament and International Association for Human Values give him a 'Young Achiever Award' in 2007. He address the European Parliament and other business dignitaries assembled in the EU Parliament. He is also listed in the 'Young Global Leaders' for 2008-2009 by the prestigious World Economic Forum. Suhas is the youngest member ever in the World Economic Forum's history.

Childhood of Suhas :
Suhas is from a middle class family. His father worked as a scientist for the Indian Army. He study in the Air Force school in Bengaluru. He did not have the computer at home because at that time the computers are very expensive and his father cannot afford it. He go to Internet cafe near his house and surf net from his pocket money.

Building of websites:
He got the chance to manage the shop and browse the net, I started building websites. It became his passion. He started looking for e-books on how to build websites. They were not available as they were created in propriety sources. So, he started using open source to build websites.There is a freelance marketplace on the web where he offer his services to build websites. He registered as a website builder. His first income was $100 at 13 years old. for building another website but he didn't have a bank account. He told his father that he built a website and got paid for it. When he was in 9th standard he built websites free of cost. He built his own portal and called it Coolhindustan.com. It was focused on NRIs. It was a portal where he showcase his skills. After that, many companies approached him to be their web designer.

Rejecting a job offer from the US
When he was 14, Network Solutions offered him a part-time job in the US and they said they would sponsor his education in the US . He rejected the offer because he read a story about Bill Gates and how he started Microsoft..Many US companies connect my ability with my age and academic qualifications. Then the idea of self company is come up in the Suhas mind to show the world that age and academic qualifications are immaterial. He then decide that he recruit only youngsters and not ask for their academic qualifications and marks cards.

Starting his own company at 14:
After 9th standard vacation, he started the his own company, Global Inc .He registered his company in the US because he is not 18 years old. He became the owner and CEO of the company. In the first year, the turnover of Global Inc was Rs 1 lakh . On the second year, the turnover went up to Rs 5 lakh.He saw that there was enormous business opportunities in Europe as a majority of the Indian IT companies were working for American companies. He contacted a Spanish company, it rejected his offer saying Indians do not know Spanish. He hired five student interns from Spanish universities and told them they would be paid based on their successful sales. At the age of 17, B-school in Germany invited him to talk to its students on entrepreneurship. Slowly he spread his operations from a small Internet cafe to become a multinational company with significant operations in Europe, Middle East, the US , Canada , the UK , Australia. When turn 18, he registered his company as Global Inc. in India.

Creating products
Suhas wanted company to become a product development company. Then he focus on education, like the software that manages everything about a child. While child in school starting to the admission till he leaves school. This software was aimed only at the Indian market. Suhas want to be the market leader in ICT in education. Today, company software is being used in more than 100 schools all over India , Singapore and the Middle East .

Dreams for his company:
He discontinue his Engg. studies because of less attendance in the class. He is helping the World Bank to set policies on ICT in university education so that employability can be enhanced. His aim is to reduce the number of unemployed eligible youth in the world. He dreams that his company became market leader in software solutions concentrating on education.
