What is the latest about Internet address and India?
We know that there are many changes happening in the world of Internet address. At the beginning, there were only " .com ", " .org " and " .gov " suffixes in the Internet addresses. Then individual nations of the world were given a suffix with reference to their Country's name. In other fields also, more number of suffixes were allowed. For India, the suffix " .in " was allowed. Now, instead of " .in " suffix to India, the suffix " .bharat " has been allowed. Also at the first phase, this suffix is going to be allowed in seven prime Indian languages. Probably India may get permission for this during next year. Indian Government has requested for these suffixes in Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu and Gujarati. During the next phase, these suffixes will be requested in all 22 languages practiced in India.
