What is IMEI
The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a code assigned to mobile phones to identify the network. The IMEI number traces a specific mobile phone that is being used on a mobile network. The IMEI is a useful tool to prevent a stolen handset from accessing a network and being used to place calls. Do not forget to lodge First Information Report (FIR) with Police and blocking the telephone by contacting the service provider.
