US President Barack Obama is visiting Mumbai on 6th November 2010. He would stay in one of the ealite areas in South Mumbai. There's a list of Dos and Don'ts for the residents in these areas concerning his security issues.

US President Barack Obama is planning to visit Mumbai on 6th November 2, 2010. Barack Obama and his staff would be housed in the elite area of South Mumbai. Since the US President's arrival is right on the eve of Diwali, there are many rules and regulations adhered to the people residing in the vicinity. The local police have already communicated with all the societies listed under this area. This includes a maximum portion from Marine Lines to Colaba. Several meetings were held informing the residents about the guidelines and a list of dos and don'ts that they need to observe during this period. This list includes no bursting of crackers on roads, during the US President's visit. This request is with the security concerns related to this VVIP Guest.

However the residents have shown a great spirit and have readily agreed to accept the guidelines. They wish to make their VVIP Guests stay more comfortable during his visit to Mumbai and have agreed to no bursting of crackers on 6th November. Additionally the residents are overjoyed with the fact that the arrival of US President has ensured in thorough cleaning and washing of promenades and parks, which definitely makes their area look clean and organized. Hence they are ready to pay such prices once in a while if their neighborhood is kept clean by the BMC for such reasons.
