Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is a Constitutional Body established to conduct examinations and recruit qualified candidates for appointment to the service of Government of Maharashtra and its allied organizations. Prospective candidates of MPSC 2012 have to be cautious to enter accurate personal details for registration. The prelims will be of an objective type general studies paper of 300 marks. For every wrong answer there would be a negative marking of 0.25 marks. Candidates that clear the prelims will go for the main exam in MPSC 2011. Objective type Paper i and ii with total marks of 400 have to be cleared. Negative marking of o.25 for every wrong answer is applicable.
The subjects in the Main exams are English, Marathi, general studies and analytical skills. A final round of interview is conducted for eligible candidates. The eligibility criteria with age limit and educational qualification vary based on the grade of the post offered.
MPSC 2011 syllabus will be based on the post the candidate is applying for under recruitment. A candidate applying for the position of a dental surgeon will have a unique syllabus and question paper unlike that of a candidate applying for the position of PSI/STI.The general pattern of the examination in MPSC 2012 for the posts of PSI / STI and ASST would be prelims, main exam and interview. A physical test exam is conducted for the post of PSI only.
