1. 8 May 1888 : Miraj to Kolhapur railway line work started.

2. 20 April 1891 : Lord Harris Started the Miraj to Kolhapur railway line.

3. 28 March 1895 : Opening of Ferguson College Building.

4. 1897 : Started Ashram for Maharogi at Uchgaon & named on queen Victoria.

5. 1901 - 1911 : Open hostels for backward students.

6. 6 July 1902 : Started 50% reservation for backward people.

7. 1906 : Started cooperative mills.

8. 11 Jan 1911 : Kolhapur Satyashodhak Samaj Establish.

9. 1912 : Primary education free of cost.

10. 1917 : Punar Vivah Kayada.

11. 1918 : Started Talathi & establishment of Inter Cast Marriage rule.

In last Chattrapati Shahu Maharajah is only one King [Maharajah] of India who promoted modern ethics need for development. Give the chance to backward people come in front. Allow people for intercaste marriage & Widow marriage. There work in social development is awesome, for that Maharajah receives Knight Grand Commander (G.C.S.I.) & Queen Victoria allows to use Maharajah honor.
