When Is Easter Sunday and good Friday in 2011, 2012, 2013 , 2014 , 2015
This was originally decided in the year 325AD, at the Council of Nicaea (present-day Iznik in Turkey). The great Roman Emperor Constantine I assembled the early Christian leaders from across Europe and the Middle East together to fix matters of doctrine and dates of important Christian events such as the date of the Easter festival. Since then Easter has been celebrated on this moving calendar.
The Easter holiday moves each year because the actual Easter date is calculated by choosing the first Sunday after the full moon following the spring equinox. Easter Sunday 2011 will be celebrated on Sunday 24 April 2011
Easter Sunday always comes two days after good Friday. Checkout list for Easter Sunday and good Fridays dated for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
