Three Places of Shiv Pilgramage in Marathwada - Aurangabad
Mahashivratra is one of the great festivals in Maharathwada. In that time p-eople go to pilgrimage in five places which are located in Maharashtra. First one is located in Nashik name is Traymbakeshwar. Second is Bhimashankar in Bhimashankar in Pune. Other three are located in Marathwada. First one is located in Verul that is Ghurneshwar Temple. Bulwark of this temple is remember the grandur of the ancient age. Verul is the Bhosale's villege, where Chhatrapati Shivaji's grandfather and other relatives was living there. Ghuraneshwar is the last Jorting. This temple is located on the bank of Elaganga River.
Story of the Ghurneshwar is like this- Parvati play with Umakant by Saripat. This time Parvati win the game but, she feels the loss the life then she got to searching in husband. She get the appearance of Bhillini. And she is dancing. Shiv feel happay when see the dancing of Parvati. Shiv trust the Trishul in the earth and their comes the underworld Ganga(Patal GAnga). When the Parvati chase to Shankar, when She come to the Parli where Vaijnath went to dink the water . In the 12 Jorting are present one of them is located is Vaijnath. It comes in Beed District. In this temple you cannot get any carving. Third Jorting is present in the Aundha. Verul and Parli are great place but greatness of Aundha Nagnath is increase by Sants. This temple is half of the built is black rock and half is made by brik and lime.
