About Chandrapur

The Chandrapur was known as 'Chanda' as per tradition and legend name of that place was 'Lokapura' which was changed to 'Indpur' and then to Chandrapur.
In British colonial period it was known as Chanda district, which again changed to its original name 'Chandrapur ' in 1964.
