2.1 Introduction

NIC District Centres in Maharashtra are located in each 35 District Collectorates. District Centres of NIC are playing important roles in implementation of ICT projects by NIC State Centre and NIC-Hq. In addition to this NIC District Centres are actively helping local administration in managing of District Collectorate LAN, Networking Services and local IT apllications. Table 2.1 and 2.2 give the list of projects.

Many Central and State Government sponsored projects are implemented in all the districts of Maharashtra.

Moreover, locally developed application softwares are also running in various

2.2 IN FOCUS: Land Records Computerisation in Maharashtra
Latur District:
Hon'ble CM, Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh inaugurated
mobile van for distribution of 7/12 extract to khatedars
on 11/03/2005 at Chikhurda Tehsil of Latur District.
Raigad District :
Computerized Record of Rights (7/12) is being issued
from all 15 Tahsils since May 2005. For PCIS, data entry
for all 12 TILR offices completed.
Sangli District :
LMIS (7/12) implemented in the 10 talukas and PCIS
implemented in 5 T.I.L.R offices and 1 CTSO office.
Gadchirolli District : Data entry of 7/12 of all Tahsils
completed and issue of records started.
Solapur District : On-line issue of land records has been
started in all Tahsil offices.
Dhule District : Distribution of computerised Form VIIXII,
using Mobile Van carrying one Server, one Client and
UPS, was inaugurated on 13-09-2005 in Shirpur Tahsil.
Thane District : PCIS data of 1,96,691 property
cards and 7/12 data of 10,46,321 entered completely
and online issue of cards and RoR have been started
at all CTSO, TILR and all tahsil offices of the district.
Washim District : LMIS is implemented in all 6
tahsils with a total record of 207306 satbara and PCIS
is implemented in 5 TILR with a total record of 37662
property cards.
Hingoli District : Being the first district to complete
the 7/12 computerization, so far two lakhs RoR have been issued to the citizens through Setu
Suvidha Kendra (Public Facilitation Centre).
Nashik District : LMIS data of 12 lakhs completed
and issue of RoR through Setu, Circle offices and
Mobile van are being carried out in the district.
Computerised property cards are are also being issued
at 6 TILR Offices and 2 CTSO Offices.
Nanded District : Till date more than 3 lakh ROR has
been issued through Setu located at every Tahsil.
Satara District: About 12 lakh RoRs and 1.74 lakh Property cards in all 11 talukas, 1517 villages
has been computerised and sale to the public started through SETU counters. Process for
interconnecting Sub-Registrar offices (sale transaction registry authority) to the Land Records
data for online linkages has been started. The revenue dept has gained about 20 Lakh Rupees
from the sale of Property cards.
Ahmednagar District: Issue of RoR and property card started in District revenue administration.

Jalgoan District : Hon Settlement Commissioner and
Director Land record inaugurated District Data Center
and 7/12 distribution from mobile van for 3 tahsils
Bhusawal, Erandol and Dharangaon on 13/09/2005
Jalna District: Distribution of PCIS cards to public
since last 4 years and 7/12 to the farmers of all 8
Tahsils since last one year is going on in this district.
Districution of 7/12 from mobile van is made available
from District Data Center, Collectorate.
Osmanabad District :
Distribution of 7/12 was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of state Agriculture,,Govt.of Maharashtra
Rana Jagjitsingh Patil in his home town Ter. Osmanabad is the first district in maharashtra where
online mutation module is implemented. The distribution of property card was inaugurated by
Dy.Director, Land Record, Sh.Sable.
Hon.Minister inaugurating RoR Mobile VAN and distributing ROR
Wardha District: Till date 15524 computerised 7/12
have been distributed. Wardha becomes the first district
in Maharashtra to provide Iformation of RoR using
Kiosk Touch Screen to the general public. It is
implemented at Vividha center Wardha.
Yavatmal District: Using LMIS software data entry of
all Taluka has been done at the Tahsil levels. All data
have been validated and pending mutations have been
updated using the edit muddle. Census Codes as well
as District and Taluka Codes were updated for all 16
Tahsils. VF 12 updating and distribution of 7/12 is in
progress.
Beed District: Land Record Computerisation was
inaugurated by Hon. Min. Vimaltai Mundada Health
Minister, GOM. NIC Beed has completed all work
and free distribution of 7/12 was made to common
people.
Bhandara District: Data entry and validation of
village 7/12 records of all tahsils is completed. Issue
of computerized 7/12 records is started in all Tahsil
Offices.

Parbhani District: Data entry of Property Cards has been done for Parbhani taluka at TILR
Office. Data entry and validation of village 7/12
records of all tahsils is completed. Issue of
computerized 7/12 records is being done through
SETU.
Amravati District: Data entry for all the property
cards is finished and distribution of the computerised
Property Card is going on. Data entry of all 7/12
records of all Tahsils is completed and have been
validated. Mutations are being updated and issue
7/12 records is started in all Tahsil Offices. Online
mutation module is being implemented at two tahsils
viz. Achalpur and Chandur Bazar. Training has been given to revenue staff of Tahsils.
Chandrapur District: Training for LMIS is given to BOT operators. Data entry of Property Cards
has been completed using PCIS software.
Nagpur District: Three city survey offices and three
TILR offices are distributing computerized property
cards to the landholders from last 3-4 years. . raining
for LMIS is given to BOT operators. Data entry of
Property Cards has been completed using PCIS
software. Distribution of computerized 7/12 is being
carried out in all 14 tehsils of the district. Online
mutation module was demonstrated to Chief
Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary for Tehsil
Nagpur.
Sindhudurg District: Data entry of village forms (7/12 records) of all Tahsils is completed and
validated. Mutations are being carried out and issue of computerized 7/12 records to the Land
holders is started in all Tahsil Offices through SETU centre.
Nandurbar District: The LMIS system is implemented in 6 talukas and data-entry has been
completed. Mutation entries using biometric devices is implemented for online distribution of 7/12
to the citizens though Setu Centres. The PCIS system is implemented in all the 6 TILR offices
and data entry has been completed. Training to the staff is imparted for online mutations and
distribution.
