The central government decision to hike the prices of diesel, domestic LPG and kerosene is a set back for the common man as these are the basic needs of each family. It is noteworthy that diesel prices have gone up by Rs. 3 a litre, LPG will cost Rs. 50 more per cylinder while the poor mans fuel kerosene too will cost Rs. 2 more per litre.

The hike in prices have come into effect from Friday night itself after a meeting chaired by Finance Minister Pranab Mukharji and Empowered Group of Ministers okayed the hike.

According to common man fuel price hikes will affect the domestic budget of people adversely and they will be forced to cut down in their other necessities to bridge the hike in prices. LPG cylinder which is the regular need of each house will now cost Rs 446.20 while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 44.20 and Rs 15.20 per litre respectively.

According to the Centre the new prices are aimed at helping state- owned oil firms. Because the prices of fuels are below cost rates, they currently lose Rs.

15 per litre on diesel, Rs. 27 per litre on kerosene and Rs. 381 on the sale of the every domestic- use gas cylinder.

Notably, petrol rates were hiked few days back by Rs 5 per litre and now LPG, diesel and kerosene rates were hiked which will put extra burden on common mens pocket. The issue of price hike which was extreme last years has now becoming a giant and Union Government is continuously increasing rates of domestic ingredients.

As the news of price hikes reached the ears of city people, they were seemed reacting over it.

They also condemned the action of government. Due to increase in LPG, diesel and kerosene, food and transport will dear and will cause inconvenience among common people. It will be very difficult to survive for poor and down trodden to get their meal at cheaper rates.

    Thanks for the elaborated reply.

As a lady, I just heard and got worried about LPG gas cylinder prices. But, truly Petrol, and diesel price hikes are also occurring monthly.

Tata is providing NANO for 1 Lac. But who will afford petrol/diesel to roam using the NANO?

IS there anything we can do to control this? In Democracy people is the most powerful entity, but in the situations like this, people are the weakest entity to fight with government.

    Dear Namita Terse,

Uncontrolled price raise of daily needed things is vary serious issue. The budget of common man get demolished. Government have to think about people who earned only 100/- day or monthly 3000 to 5000/- Rupees. How they can live and educate their child's. Government should do vary fast for general people.

    With Best Regards,

    Friends,

After increase in price hike, all transporters will increase their rate, then vegetable traders say transport rates are increased so we need to keep our margins and they will increase rates. Practically, in the end, vegetables, milk, grocery and everything will be costlier.

Please suggest any way out to all these price hikes??

Is anybody there to listen to common man?

Only famous personalities like Anna Hajare Ji and Ramdev Baba ji can have their voice heard. What about thousands of poor people who sleep empty stomach because of all these price hikes?

    Hi
    Namita,

If you are asking justification of increasing rates of all commodities it will remain as it is. Because no one can stand against such problems the decisions are taken by government and that remains unchanged.

India is democratic country, this only the reason for all this happenings. The only right for peoples of India to vote. And the elected members never thinks about the peoples demands, their conditions.

No one can change this, it will be remained unchanged. Unless all the peoples in country will go against this happening it is impossible to change the condition.

    Regards,
    Santosh Davari.
